Adam's 33rd Birthday

Adam had his 33rd birthday on June 29th. I didn't have another 3 candle so I made do with what I had as you can see. Finley helped her daddy blow out the candles the best she could and all the dogs wanted were some brownies!

Baby Showers

I have never posted any pictures of my fabulous baby showers that I had. I had 2 baby showers in March..one family one and my friends also gave me one. In April, my wonderful co-workers gave me one. I am so thankful and grateful to have such wonderful people in my life.


This is Betsy, one of Adam's former softball players, and a very sweet girl. She is holding my niece, Cindy Lou. Betsy took most of these pictures from this shower which was given to me by Adam's family.





I honestly forgot how big I was!!!!


This was a combined shower for me and Brandy. Brandy is Cindy Lou's mommy.


This is Aunt Carol rubbing my belly. Her middle name is Finley and her daddy (Finley's great-grandfather) was also named Finley.

Finley's Nursery

I never posted any pictures of Finley's room because it wasn't completed until after she was born and it still needs some things for the wall but here it is.

Going Home and Mary Clare's Birthday

We took a trip home back in June and Finley got to meet a few more family members and attended her first birthday party. She did really well at the party but it was so hot and we couldn't stay the whole time but we had a great time.

2 Months Old

These are her 2 month old band-aids. Poor baby got 4 shots this time. How ridiculous is that?


Finley just cannot keep her fist out of her mouth. When you try to give her a pacifier, she just spits it out.






It is hard to believe that Finley is now 2 months old!! She is growing more and more everyday and is holding her head up even better. She loves her bouncy seat and will stay in it for a while while I take a shower or do a few little things. She is starting to coo and "talk" more and smiles all the time. She also has started sleeping in her crib the past few days and is doing very well. At her 2 month appointment, she got her shots and it was the first time I heard her really cry since the day she was born because she really only "makes sounds" when she is getting hungry and then she doesn't fuss or cry. She remains a great baby and is starting to sleep more at night. She usually only gets up one time to eat and goes right back to sleep. She still takes about 3-4 oz every 2 hours. She definitely has no problem with eating. Her 2 month stats are.....

Weight.....12.75 lbs..which is the 86th percentile
Length.....24 inches...which is the 92 percentile
Head circumference.....15.35 inches...which is the48th percentile.

I go back to work in another week and I am not looking forward to it. I am sure Finley will be fine, but I don't know how her mommy will handle it.

1 Month Old!!

Today our little Finley is 1 month old!! I cannot believe it. It really seems like yesterday when my water broke and I was delivering her. Wow, how time flies.

She is growing so fast. She went for her 1 month appointment today and she was..

- 10lbs. 2 oz. which is the 77th percentile
- 22 1/4 inches long which is the 90th percentile
- Head circumference was 14.57 inches which is 50th percentile.

She is staying awake more during the day and has slept for 3-4 hour increments the past 2 nights. I hope she keeps this up. She is taking 3-4 oz. of breast milk from a bottle about every 2-3 hours and has taken up to 6 oz at one time!! If you place her on her back, she rolls to the side, usually the right side and she can hold her head up but is still a little wobbly. She continues to smile more and more each day and has been doing this since the day she was born.

We love you so much, Finley, and you have changed our lives so much. We never knew we could love someone so much until you came into our lives. We enjoy our sleepless nights with you and wouldn't trade a second. You are such a good baby and you never cry except when you are hungry or a little gassy. You are a daddy's girl but you have your mommy wrapped around your little finger. Again, we love you more than anything.
