Busy, Busy Girl!

Finley has been a very busy girl lately. She turned 7 months on December 5th and I cannot believe it. She has been growing so rapidly lately. About 3 weeks ago she started "scooting" and then she was crawling, then crawling faster and now she is trying to pull up! Whew! Mommy wasn't ready for all of this, but has been enjoying every minute of it. Finley has been eating more and more lately and has about 2-3 less bottles a day because of it. Her favorite is sweet potatoes and any kind of fruit or fruit combination except for peaches! She is wearing a size 3-4 diaper. I know that sounds crazy, but the regular size 4 Pampers Baby Dry fits and the size 3 cruisers fit the best. She wears 9 month clothes and cannot stand socks at all. At her 6 month check up, she was 19 lbs and was 28 inches long, which means she has grown almost 8 inches in 6 months. I believe she is going to be long and tall like her mommy once was. She loves her puppies and to take a bath. She still wakes up 1-2 times a night, sometimes to be rocked and sometimes to eat. Maybe one day I will sleep when she goes to college!!

Yea!!!!!! Finley is happy almost all of the time and is such a good baby. She will go anywhere you go and does not like to be alone. She loves to be entertained constantly and gets bored very easily. This makes for a tired mommy and daddy!!

5 Month Update

Well..it's been a while since an update. Finley's 5th month was filled with a visit home, learning how to roll all over the place and to get up on her hands and knees, moving into size 9 month clothes, her first Halloween Carnival and Halloween.

Finley loves her feet and would keep them in her mouth all the time if I would let her.

She has facial expressions like me and likes to make silly faces and stick out her tongue!

She wasn't sure about the wings on her back and kept trying to look behind her and grab them.

We went to the THA Halloween Carnival with Lee, Addie Grace, Parker and Cambell and had a really good time. We saw Kerri and Pinkalicious (Mary Clare) there, too!

Addie Grace was a cute little witch. Finley had her costume on, but it was hard to see all strapped in the carrier.

Finley loves to take a bath. She would sit in there until she shriveled up!!

She loves to be on her belly and tries her best to move around as much as she can.

At her last appointment, which was her 4 month checkup in September, Finley weighed 16 pounds and was 26 1/2 inches long. That's 6 inches in 4 months!!! Her 6 month appointment is on Monday, the 9th and I will update with the new stats.

This has been her favorite things to do lately. She gets so bored very easily and wants to change what she is doing very often, which keeps mommy and daddy very busy.

4 Months

Finley turned 4 months on September 5th and I cannot believe it. She continues to amaze us everyday with how much she is growing and changing. She still takes cat naps during the day and sleeps through the night, most of the time. If she gets up, it's between 2 and 3 and all she wants to do is eat and then go straight back to sleep. Which is great for mommy and daddy. She is now taking around 5 oz every 2 hours when she eats and I usually give her some cereal at night so she will not wake up starving. She is now in a size 3 diaper and can wear 3-6 months clothes and some 6-9 months because she is so long. She also laughs and chuckles out loud at times and it's just hilarious. Her 4 month appointment is on September 15th, so we will update that day with some current stats. Her 4 month birthday was a day of firsts. I captured them all except for when she rolled over from her back to her stomach.!!

Oh yeah, and when she eats, she loves to "blow bubbles" and the food all over the place as she is doing in this picture. She is really teethning and drooling everywhere and sometimes it seems like she is going to chew her fingers off. Poor baby.

I walked around the house that day and discovered that everyone was taking a nap.

Finley slept for 2 hours that day. I could not believe it. And she was sleeping on her side. I was trying something different.

I love this picture of her smiling in her little tu tu. It's very hard to get her to smile for a picture because she's always so busy looking around at everything else.

She also had her pictures taken that day and she wore her little black dress. She had her bloomers on for the pics but took them off as soon as we got home!

Random 3 months Pics

I know I am so far behind with posting. These are some different things that went on during Finley's 3rd month here.

Finding her asleep in her Daddy's arms after I told him just to hold her for a second while I got her cereal ready. She doesn't really nap during the day, so after her bath, she usually is exhausted.

First time in the exersaucer. Which she loves, by the way.

I just love her little legs in this. She's not quite big enough to spin around in it yet but at least her feet touch the ground.

She likes being on her tummy for the most part, but gets frustrated eventually when she can't move.

I always put this frog in front of her and she eventually scoots toward it. It's so funny that she can do that. She is very strong and has been for a while. I think it's because she spends alot of time on her belly, since she sleeps that way, too. Oh no!! I can't believe I said that out loud! That makes me such a bad mommy, I know. Gosh, how did everyone ever live sleeping on their stomachs, sucking on lead painted cribs and BPA toys, and not riding in a car seat!! Ha, ha!

This is Finley on her play mat, or whatever they are called. She likes the paper sounds the butterflies make when she grabs them.

She usually will nap here or fall asleep in it at night before bedtime. But as you can see, she is getting so long, she may hang out of it soon. And she is not much on napping either.
