Snow # 2-January 10th, 2011

I think we all remember this a few weeks ago-the snow that never ended. Don't get me wrong, I do love me some snow, but this was over-the-top too much for me. We were literally inside, I think, for an entire week. On top of the over 10 inches of snow, was that huge, thick sleety ice stuff. Not to mention the fact that I am in Homecare and these elements are a huge occupational hazard for the entire agency. I was on call 24/7 and worked harder from home than I ever do at the office! I was fine until about Wednesday afternoon and then I returned to work Thursday afternoon. Adam was out the whole week, and that he was in the clear, but is now making up these days every now and then.
It was fun when we got to get out in it, but much colder this time. And as always, it was nice to be "stuck" inside with my 2 favorite people!! What a blessing it was when it comes down to it.

Anxiously waiting to go outside!

How cute is she?

It was literally up past her knees!

Had to ride the 4-wheeler with Daddy!

Time Out

We started putting Finley in timeout when she is not being "good" and I just happen to catch some pics of her sitting in it this time. She does pretty good most of the time, but this is challenging for mommy. I am so sad when she pulls hair, slaps, spits and throws a tantrum-and boy is she good at a tantrum. They are quite humorous. But she is actually a very good baby most of the time!

Our White Christmas

Finley loved the snow after she got used to it. She kept wanting to take her gloves and hat off, but we would put more on. She would take them off and say, "cold mommy, cold". Then I would laugh and try to convince her to put them back on!! When will she ever listen?

Christmas Morning and Night

Finley was difficult to wake up Christmas morning because I know she was tired from being around all the family and playing so hard, but she eventually did and I know she was glad she did! I think Santa Claus came to see her 3 times in 3 locations. She is a very blessed little girl!

Finley and cousin Cindy Lou Who!

Christmas Eve Morning

We had our Christmas morning on Christmas Eve morning since we would be going home for Christmas. It took Finley a little while before she realized what was going on, but once she did, all she did was play with her play kitchen!! We kept trying to get her to come over to look at everything else, but she wasn't too interested.
We then drove home, and had Christmas with our family but then we drove home to the Upstate last Christmas night in the snow so we could see Finley's 1st White Christmas (and mine and Adam's!!!)

Our sweet Finley! There is nothing like her!

Cousin Sophie!

And her twin Chloe!

Finley only got like 7 babies for Christmas and she needed her daddy to help her feed them all.

My baby brother, who was so thrilled to have his picture taken!

Pink Christmas Tree and Cakes

Finley had a pink Christmas tree in her room during the holidays and it is still there. She loved it so much, she didn't want to take it down, so I am thinking different ornaments for different occasions when I can find them. It was difficult to get her still for a picture beside the tree. We also made a cake for baby Jesus right before Christmas and I never took a picture of the final result but did get a couple of the baking process!
